Cooking Jewcy for Interfaith Families, Denver

Learn how to cook Chanukah favorites! Latkes, jelly doughnuts, and other yummy treats.

Jewish cooking is rich with history and memories, fresh ingredients and of course a little humor. The Jewish year provide the framework- holidays laden with hands-on rituals to help us experience living a Jewcy life. The Tradition Kitchen is a place you will not only learn to make Jewish foods...but you'll learn the reasons behind them too. Jewish Food keeps the Jewish traditions alive. What would Passover be without Matzo Ball Soup or Hanukkah without Latkes? You will learn grocery store short cuts and techniques you'll use again and again. If you already cook a lot and want to share your skills, we will learn from you!

Your family will join with other families to measure, mix, pour, and taste your way to a savory Shabbat/Chanukah/etc... Learn about the history and traditions of various Jewish foods while cooking.

Classes will be offered on Saturday mornings in order to prepare a Shabbat/Holiday lunch. Classes will be held in local homes- location TBD.

1) Find two other families you would like to share this experience with - one family should register.

2) Register with just your family- and call our office and we will pair you with two other families.

Debbie Foster, creator of 'Tradition Kitchen' and former educator at Stepping Stones, will guide you in creating a scrumptious family meal for Shabbat and other Jewish holidays.

Cost: $300 for 3 families. We can pair you up with 2 other families or you can sign up as a group with 2 other families you already know.

Classes include all ingredients used to make your meal, recipes, opportunities to learn about Jewish holidays, and a tasty meal!
