Shabbat Morning Service and Potluck

Please join us for Shabbat morning services followed by a potluck lunch beginning at 10:00 AM on November 7. This will be at a private home at 459 South Poplar Way, near S. Quebec and Virginia.  There will be babysitting available.  Services will be traditional egalitarian: primarily in Hebrew, with three seating sections (men, women and mixed men & women). Both women and men will participate in leading parts of the service.Free

Rockin' Shabbat Dinner for Interfaith Families

All interfaith families welcome!

Join other Stepping Stones families with young children and alumni of our program for a special Shabbat dinner.

We will be playing Jewish music from around the world- celebrating the beauty of Shabbat!

We will teach the blessings, and enjoy a Shabbat meal together. We will provide the main dish, dessert, and drinks. Please bring a side dish to share.

We will meet at our office- 5830 E. Evans Ave.  (in the Seniors Inc Building- go down the front stairs)

Sukkot Family Adventure, Denver

Sukkot, the holiday that comes after Yom Kippur, is a time where we dwell in outdoor temporary booths/huts for 7 days.  We are asked to eat, play, and even sleep in a sukkah!

Stepping Stones is hosting an OPEN HOUSE where you can come and find out more about our programs, meet our staff and alumni, and participate in building a sukkah. We will have yummy food to taste, activities and games to participate in, and decorations to make for the sukkah.

Free Kol Nidre Service (Yom Kippur Eve)

Please join Minyan Na'aleh, Denver's lay-led, independent, grassroots, nondenomonational minyan (prayer community) for a spiritually energizing Kol Nidre service on Yom Kippur eve, Sunday, Sept. 27 at 6:30 pm sharp.  The service is free but advance tickets are required. Sign up on our website (www.NaalehDenver.org). Babysitting and age-appropriate children's programming will be available for kids age 6 months to 6th grade for a cost of $10 per child. The service will be held at BMH-BJ Synagogue, 560 South Monaco Parkway, Denver CO 80224.Free

Preschool Tot Shabbat

Preschool Tot Shabbat: Come celebrate and experience the wonder of Shabbat with our preschool children, staff and families every Friday morning during our preschool school year September 2009 through May 2010. This is a lively, fun-filled, child-friendly interactive Shabbat experience. Young children have the opportunity to learn the blessings, holidays, weekly Torah parsha, songs, traditions and symbols of Judaism with Rabbi Solomon Gruenwald and Cantor Martin Goldstein. Children are happy and delighted to sing and dance as Cantor Goldstein plays his keyboard.Free
