Shabbat School offers a warm, caring environment where every child can learn his/her Judaic subjects using innovative, interesting and interactive techniques. The Shabbat School meets on the first and third Shabbat of each month as well as on the second Friday night for a family Kabbalat Shabbat Service. Each class, from Pre-kindergarten to fifth grade is a laboratory where the students learn-age appropriate basic prayers. The youngest students will learn the letters of the Aleph-Bet and words beginning with each letter. Kindergarten involves playtime, stories and a Shabbat service. Snacks are offered in all classes and this too is a learning experience. Simple brachot, the entire birkat hamazon and many z'mirot are part of every Saturday morning and Shabbat ending service. $300 annual tuition. For more information visit www.rodef-shalom.org. "Where every member counts and every voice is heard."
Congregation Rodef Shalom, a participatory and egalitarian Conservative synagogue located in the heart of Denver's East Side Jewish community, envisions itself as an extended Jewish Mishpucha (family) caring for all its members. Our sages teach us that Judaism is sustained by three things: by Torah (study), by Avodah (worship) and by Gimilut Chasedeem (acts of loving kindness). The Rodef Shalom family follows this teaching by serving the spiritual, educational and social needs of its members and by so doing promotes the highest ideals of Conservative Judaism. The synagogue offers education programs and worship services for all ages from preschool through seniors. Our spiritual leaders, Rabbi Bernard Gerson and Cantor Saul Rosenthal, have more than 32 years of combined service to the membership.

Inspirational baby naming ceremonies are available during Shabbat morning services. Rabbi Gerson honors the parents by having them come to the Torah with the baby as the naming takes place. For more information or to plan an event call Rabbi Gerson at 303-399-0035.
The Brit Milah ceremony is considered the sign of a new-born child's entry into the Jewish tradition. The Brit Milah of a healthy baby boy is always done on the 8th day. The family will coordinate this special occasion with the Rabbi and the Mohel to make it a spiritually meaningful event. The Brit may be performed in the Synagogue or at home. For more information contact Rabbi Gerson at 303-399-0035.
