Ekar Farm

Ekar Farm and Community Gardens is a communal urban farm, inspired by Jewish values. We work to build community, provide experiential and environmental education, and grow sustainably produced fruits and vegetables, expanding access to those in need.

Every Sunday throughout our growing season, families have made Ekar a part of their activities. Planting tomato and cucumber seeds, tending the pea vines and apple trees, picking beans and pumpkins. Getting dirty together, harvesting honey for Rosh Hashanah, decorating a sukkah. Ekar is a wonderful place for families to share old wisdom with the next generation.

We also offer family oriented Jewish programming throughout the year - on site in season, and in Sunday Schools and Jewish Day Schools in the off season.
