The Jewish Experience is a dynamic community outreach organization that seeks to heighten the pride Jews feel in their heritage and to foster a greater sense of commitment to the Jewish people and to Judaism by increasing awareness of the depth and richness of Jewish tradition. We cater to all Jews, regardless of background or affiliation, offering Jewish education for children and adults and social opportunities for families based on traditional Jewish values in a welcoming, enjoyable, nonthreatening environment.  

Classes

Take a free class. A MazelTot discount covers 100% of class tuition for a child under age five with or without their parent(s), up to a maximum of $100.

Denver's only Ulpan-style conversational Hebrew experience. It's a fun, unique approach to studying the language and enhancing your Hebrew speaking skills.  Immerse yourself in a new cultural experience with native Hebrew speakers without leaving Colorado. Adults only, expecting parents or parents of young children welcome.

Thursday Nights at the JCC, 350 S. Dahlia Street

Three eight-week sessions per year:

Three levels to choose from:

Beginner Classes: 6-7pm

Intermediate Classes: 7-8pm

Advanced Classes: 8-9pm

 

Read Hebrew in just five weeks. This course utilizes a revolutionary system that is sure to accelerate the learning process. If you already know how to read Hebrew, but want to polish your skills, this class is also for you!

The Jewish University is a three-year, comprehensive course in Judaism covering Jewish Thought, Jewish History, Jewish Living and The Book (The Torah). Inspiring and educational, TJU is designed to impart the breadth and depth of Jewish wisdom in a non-intimidating, thought-provoking manner and accepting environment.

Adults only, expecting parents or parents of young children welcome.

Classes are offered at the JCC, 350 S. Dahlia Street, at two different days/times:

Wednesdays 7-9 pm beginning October 19th.

Sundays 10am-12:30pm beginning October 23rd.

The Sunday Experience is our alternative Sunday School. Our teachers are dedicated, professional educators with decades of teaching experience and a true love of Judaism. Their warmth and enthusiasm mean that the students aren't just students, they're family. Through their ingenuity and a nationally acclaimed curriculum of crafts, hands-on activities, trips and projects, the learning comes to life. It's real education, it's fun, and what's most important, the kids love it.

The Sunday Experience meets on Sunday mornings from 10am - 12:30pm throughout the school year at the Jewish Community Center.

Independent Celebrations

Have a Jewish educator, rabbi or ritual leader create a unique Jewish experience for your family. A MazelTot discount covers 100% of the cost, up to a maximum of $250.

A Chavurah is a group of friends who regularly get together to socialize and explore Jewish ideas. The Jewish Experience has a variety of speakers to choose from and to present the topic of your group's choice. Open, interactive discussions in the informal setting of a group member's home builds close relationships among friends and opens up new frontiers in Jewish thought along the way. Chavurahs can be of any size, at any time, on any weekday. That's the wonderful thing about your Chavurah, it's all your choice!  To form a Chavurah, or to request a speaker to address your existing playgroup or group of friends, call our office. Spiritual Mommy, Spiritual Me is a way to bring interactive Jewish learning to your playgroup. Our Spiritual Mommy, Spiritual Me instructors will come and discuss topics such as: Jewish Lullabies and Playtime Songs, Rebuilding Marriage after a Birth, Spirituality for the Growing Family, and whatever else interests your group. You decide how often, you set the place, you pick the topic. Call Stel at (303) 316-6412 for more information or to schedule a Spiritual Mommy, Spiritual Me class for your playgroup, and incorporate some growth-oriented discussion for mom during baby's play time. Cost is $150 to $250.
