Join us for a Sukkot (Fall Harvest Festival) Celebration

We will build a sukkah (while learning about the holiday), eat yummy food, play games & win prizes.

Find out more about Stepping Stones programming. We will have a short teaching (usual parent track classes are 1 1/2 hrs long) for adults, and activities for kids.

Interfaith Family Introduction to the High Holidays

If you've always wanted to know more about the "High Holidays" including Rosh Hashanah (The Jewish New Year) Yom Kippur (Day of Atonment) Sukkot (Fall Harvest Festival) and Simchat Torah (Celebration of the Ending/Beginning of the Torah Cycle reading) come to our 2 hr CRASH COURSE designed for interfaith families/couples.

Activities and snacks for children will be provided (with prior RSVP only).

Come meet other interfaith families, learn more about Stepping Stones programming, and get the information YOU need to be more comfortable during this time of year.

Meet Your Community at the Lawn BBQ is a casual opportunity for Temple Micah congregants and prospective members to share a potluck meal and meet one another or get better acquainted from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29 on the temple grounds at 2600 Leyden St., Denver. Shabbat-in-the-Park (Washington Park -- Picnic Area #2)

Inspire your little ones with Shabbat under the summer sky and trees! Temple Micah's Shabbat-in-the-Park outings offer fun, refreshing experiences filled with Jewish blessings and music, especially geared to families with children. These services start at 6:00 p.m. Bring a picnic supper to enjoy together afterward and a blanket to sit on, if you wish. Kids of all ages can take advantage of nearby playgrounds too. The only problem is... they won't want to go home.

Children's Day in the Dirt

Come young, come old, Grow, Learn and Enjoy

  • 1-3 p.m. - tomato and pepper starts in the greenhouse, paper mache pot making for kids
  • 3 p.m. on - potluck - please bring a vegetarian nosh or drink to share.

Learn about the greenhouse, get tomatoes and peppers started for transfer to Ekar in May, then stick around for a potluck. We'll be making paper mache pots for kids to plant and take home herbs (karpas) for their Passover seders.  We will also be learning about composting and playing with the worms!!
